Deficiency of vita-vapor and blood

This is generally caused by over thinking and overworking which lead to the damage of spleen and deficiency of Qi and blood, thus the brain is poorly nourished and dizziness occurs. Dizziness is accompanied by pallidness and lustreless complexion, palpitation, weakness and insomnia etc.

The diagnosis is pallidness of the tongue with a thin and white coating and thready and weak pulse. Points Baihui, Qiliai, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao, Pishui, Qihai, Zusauli, are needled with the twisting and reducing method, in combination with luckwarm moxibustion to nourish the spleen and replienish Qi and blood..

After routine sterilization, puncture Baihui point to make ascend. Puncture Qihai point to strengthen the primary Qi. And Zusanli, Sanyinjiao point with the reinforcing method to invigorate the spleen and stomach, produce Qi and blood. Luckwarm moxibustion on points Qihai, Zusanli strengthens the effect. Puncture Pishi point to nourish the spleen, Qi and blond.

Hyperactivity of the liver Yang

This is generally caused by overthinking, anxiety, depression or anger. Main manifestations are dizziness with distending sensation in the head, flushed face and red eyes, irritability etc. Red tongue proper, with yellow coating, string-taut and rapid pulse. For treatment, points Fengchi, Ganshu, Shenshu, Taixi, Xingjian are needled to nourish Yin and pacify Yang. After routine sterilization, puncture Fengchi with the twisting and reducing method to reduce Yang Puncture Ganshu, Shenshu with the twisting and reinforcing method to nourish liver Yin and kidney Yin. Puncture Xingjian with the twisting and reducing method to pacify the liver Yang.

Interior retention of phlegm dampness

This results from abundant phlegm dampness, or irregular food intake. Clinical manifestations are vertigo, suffocating sensation in the chest and nausea, etc.

The diagnosis is pale tongue proper with white and sticky coating soft and rolling pulse.

For treatment points, Touwei, Neiguan, Zhongwan, Penglong, Pishu, are needled with the even-movement method to relax the chest, resolve phlegm and disperse dampness.

After routine sterilization, puncture Touwei point to treat dizziness.

Puncture Neiguan to relax the chest, harmonize the stomach and check vomiting. Zhongwan is needled to strengthen the spleen and stomach for dispersing dampness. Fenglong, with the even-movement method, to resolve the phlegm, Pishu, with the even-movement, to nourish the spleen and disperse dampness.

The treatment should be given once daily or once every other day, one course consists of twelve sessions.
